Good morning everyone!
My plan was to tell you that I have decided to officially move today, but then I realised that I have something much more important to talk about.
In the process of moving I have had to go through all my stuff and choose what I wanted to bring with me and what is no longer of any use for me. I found that there was a lot just floating around the flat that I really did not need. Growing up, I was used to most things like that just being thrown away, but after going vegan (And to some degree, before that) this is not something that feels comfortable for me anymore. That is why I have been walking back and forth to two different charity stores and donated lots and lots of stuff. One was Cancer Research UK and the other was a hospice charity. I also donated some clothing to the Salvation Army and gave a blanket to a homeless man.
What I am trying to say is that there is always someone who needs the things you do not want. Do not just bin it because it is the easier option. We live in a world with a lot of people, so why not help and share whenever we can? If there is not a charity close to you, see if there are any homeless people in your area… Big supermarkets normally have clothing banks outside. You can even try to sell or give it away online through social media or sites like Ebay. After seeing that homeless man lying on the street outside, my heart broke into pieces. For me I just gave him a blanket, but that could mean the world to him. So please help each other out, be kind. You could make a difference for someone!
